When manager Gordon Strachan named the Scotland squad to play Slovenia at Hampden last night, many fans were hoping to see the in-form Celtic’s Stuart Armstrong make his debut for his country.
They weren’t to be disappointed as former Celtic gaffer Strachan named six Hoops players in the starting line-up. Although they all contributed to a deserved 1-0 win for Scotland, none impressed like Armstrong. Here’s what his manager had to say about his display…

The Bhoy’s outstanding performance comes just a few days after former Tottenham boss David Pleat said on radio there was no reason to look to Scotland for talent.
