First off, I’m not a fan of international football at all, but in the grand scale of things it does have it’s benefits, especially when you’re selling a player, who is now ‘capped’.

My main concern is always getting the Bhoys away on international duty back to Lennoxtown, fit and ready for our next game. Hopefully, Leigh Griffiths and Scott Brown in particular, return from Scotland’s late win over Slovenia, not only on a high with their performance, but fit enough to be included for Celtic’s title party at Tynecastle on Sunday.

I believe Leigh was forced to come off with an injury.

Even before a ball was kicked, much was said on social media about the Celtic influence on the national team.

With the inclusion of six players to start with, along with Charlie Mulgrew, ex-Celt,  Hull’s Andy Roberson, ex-Celtic  youth and self confessed Hoops fan, Robert Snodgrass, you could be forgiven for thinking it was Scotland in green instead of visitors Slovenia.

Add to that ex-Celtic manager Gordon Strachan, and his assistant, ex-Celt Mark McGhee, then it’s not hard to see where the accusations come from.

But in reality, by all accounts, last night’s performance was the best Scotland have played for a long time, so maybe the Celtic influence works?

Now, can we add the result to our unbeaten domestic run?
