I don’t think any of us will be surprised that operation ‘sell a Celt’ is well and truly underway, it happens year in, year out, mostly from a SMSM that’s pining for their favourites just to be within touching distance of the six-in-a-row champions.
We’ve been treated to Moussa Dembele leaving from the minute he scored those two goals against Manchester City in the Champions League, with almost daily updates as to where he’s going and when. Of course Moussa himself says he’s happy to play under Brendan and he’s happy with life at Celtic Park.
Such sentiments are ignored as they don’t fit with the Laptop Loyals narrative.
Next up for the exit door would be Stuart Armstrong.
Since the former Dundee United man has flourished under Brendan’s guidance, the SMSM have been lining him up with moves away from Celtic Park. Stuart too said he was quite happy with his form, his recent international call up and life in general in Paradise.
Of course, Kieran Tierney has also joined the ranks of those the media are trying to sell. His form since returning from injury has been quite exceptional, but like his team mates he has no intention of leaving the place he love to play.
All this speculation despite the players saying they’re content with life at the champions, and their manager repeating this week, we have no need to sell any player. Unless the offer is too good to turn down.
In reality, they would love to dismantle the whole Celtic team, but even then, the rest of the Premiership would still struggle to catch us..
