Captain Scott Brown sent out the message every Celtic fan wants to hear ahead of our fifth group match against French giants PSG, in the Champion League tomorrow night.

Looking back to the time both he and goalkeeper Craig Gordon played in the Scotland team that upset the odds in 2007, when they took on the mighty French national team in Paris, and recorded an astounding 1-0 win courtesy of a James McFadden strike.

Prior to the game, no one, including the Tartan Army, gave the Scots a hope, much like the expectation of Celtic’s chances tomorrow against PSG.

But that win proved if you believe enough, and carry a certain amount of luck, then anything can happen.

While the Bhoys go into every domestic match as overwhelming favourites, in Europe it’s a totally different story, where we’re the underdogs.

Although no underdog has a yet to upset the odds at home against the unbeaten Brendan Rodgers team, history shows there can be ‘freak’ results. (ICT, Partick Thistle etc)

Let’s hope Broonie is proved right, and Celtic do leave Paris with a result, but seeing is believing, and tomorrow night we’ll see for ourselves…
