Real Quality Dembele Destined For A Full Cap.

Every now and then as a Celtic fan we are blessed to watch real top quality players.
Through the years, those of us old enough have been lucky to see the Lisbon Lions, the Quality Street Gang, the Centenary Celts and other greats pull on the famous green and white Hoops.

And now it looks like we are witnessing another young Celt who will go all the way to the top, 20 year-old Frenchman Moussa Dembele.

When manager Brendan Rodgers came through the doors at Celtic Park, he knew who his first signing was going to be. It wasn’t the much touted Joe Allen as the media would have you believe, it was to be the fairly unknown Dembele from London club Fulham.

Only after some investigation did we realise the potential of this young man, but even then, no one could have imagined the impact the Bhoy would make in his debut season.

Now, in mid-February, Moussa with 26 goals to his name, including three hat-tricks, the last two back to back, it looks like he’s heading for another first, only this time in the blue of France, with a well deserved full international cap.

It would be a fitting recognition of the first season young Moussa has had in Scotland.

Many older, more established players have come North of the Border and didn’t cut it, lasting only a matter of weeks in some cases (Mr Barton), not this fella. He’s made of stronger stuff!
