League leaders and current premiership Champions Celtic, head along the M8 tonight to take on Livingston for the second time this season. Ourlast visit resulted in a 0-2 defeat after the Bhoys lost the influential Ryan Christie early in the first half, thanks to a Willie Collum red card.

The Hoops never looked comfortable on the plastic pitch in West Lothian, and after a goalless first half, it came as no surprise when the hosts took the lead. Both Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien looked ill at ease with the direct style of Livi, the latter getting caught up in a bit of a personal battle with Lindon Dykes, who just happened to score the second goal for the home side.

Hopefully we won’t get caught in teh same trap tonight, manager Neil Lennon has already said the players must be prepared for a battle, so he might go with a more physical team selection, although he will keep in mind not all of our players are comfortable on the hard surface.

Both James Forrest and Callum McGregor look set to make it after they took knocks in the Bhoys Scottish Cup quarter final win at Perth, in what was another battle. The 1-0 victory secured an incredible 34th cup win in succession, and amazing run of consistency.

Another win tonight will see the Celts take anothe giant step towards equalling our own 9 -in-a-row. The points are there to be won, let’s go out and get them…
