It’s that time of the year when the gongs are handed out by the fans, the players and the sports writers.

Last night the Celtic fans Player of the Year award went to the outstanding Scott Sinclair, with Kieran Tierney scooping the Young Player of the Year for a second season running.

Not to be outdone, Moussa Dembele picked up the top goalscorer and best goal award, though the latter, against St Johnstone in the 5-2 win in February really was a team effort!

With more award ceremonies to come, I’ll be shocked if captain Scott Brown doesn’t pick up some sort of accolade.

The change in his form from the end of last season has been sensational. I doubt if any Celtic fan could have foreseen how he’s turned things around.

As always, he has led from the front, only this time his swagger is back and he’s putting in a true captains performance, game after game.

Too often his ability on the ball has been overlooked.

He’s still leading with the most interceptions in the Champions League, and he’s not played since December!

It would be brilliant for him to be the captain of a Treble winning team, one of only three in our long history, and who knows, we’re only five games away from being the Invincibles.

In this his tenth year at the club, I hope he’s appreciated as he should be..
