The THUNDER….European Style!
ByLenny Has The Bhoys On The Right Road….
At the start of arguably the most controversial season in Scottish Football history, due largely to the misdemeanour’s of one particular club, everyone from the Chief Executive of the SFA down to the incompetent hacks who run our game down day after day, predicted an ‘Armageddon’ in the game.
As far as they were concerned, the game was finished.
However, there was one club who wouldn’t buy into all the negativity. One club who already made it clear that we could survive without the ‘rogue club’. We all know who that club is…..Celtic. Our club.
From our inception we’ve never settled for second best. And we’re not likely to start now.
So while all around were sulking and making excuses, Neil Lennon and the Celtic board set about getting the club to a place where belong, among the best in European football, in the Champions League.
And last night they achieved that.
The doom mongers told us it would be a ‘long time’ before we’d hear the Champions League music at Celtic Park.
Well last night proved that Celtic don’t need anyone else, Celtic will progress and Celtic will fly the flag for Scottish Football.
At 5 o’clock our time the Champions League group stage draw will be made, and the name of Celtic Football Club will be in pot 4.
Lenny always said he wanted to bring back the Thunder to Paradise.
He did that and more…The THUNDER, European Style!
Meanwhile over Aye Broke way it’s not so much thunder as
CHUNDER!
Well said and 100% right, Dont mind who we get in todays draw just excited to be involved in the greatest show on earth the champions league, a big well done to Neil and the players, my wee brother who was at the game said the atmosphere was great so well done the fans as well. let the party commence.
I was at the game on Wednesday night and the armosphere was electric. However, the full magnitude of the noise level was not appatrent until I watched the full match re run from recording.Unbelieveable noise from the fans within the stadium. And one of the best fans ‘huddle’ ever. The COYBIG chant was also awesome and inspiring. The European THUNDER was very evident. Long may this ARMAGEDDON continue. HAIL HAIL.
Ed, over the years I’ve been to many big European nights going all the way back to the 70′s. The atmosphere at Celtic Park these days is the best it’s ever been. There won’t be a player who visits the Holy Ground who won’t remember the occasion for the rest of their lives.
