Mo Swipe At Strachan. Surprised?

Posted by: Fanzone | Comments Comments Off

You’ve A Short Memory Donati

Massimo Donati did exactly what you’d expect from a player about to leave a club, have a swipe at his former manager.

As he left these shores Mo had this to say,  “I am grateful to Celtic for granting my wish to go home. I always had good relations there – even last season when I wasn’t getting a game my problem was only with the coach, not the club.

I will especially miss the fantastic supporters and the atmosphere they create. We can learn a lot from them in Italy.”

Now Mo is no mug in the sense that he did the obligatory ‘best fans’ thing, but he did forget to mention it was WGS that brought him here in the first place.

It was then up to Mo himself to do the business, something he failed to do. The game was too fast for him here, two weeks ago against Arsenal was a prime example, and lets face it Donati was decent when we were winning, can’t remember Mo digging us out a hole in any game.

Still, he won’t be the last to play a couple of good games, then head off into the sunset with a dig at his old gaffer.

Reminds me a bit of Juninho…..

Mo On The Move..

Donati Heading Back Home

Celtic Fanzone understand that Italian midfielder Massimo Donati is on his way back to Italy before the end of the week.

Ironically, the Bhoy has showed a lot more this season than at any other time since he joined the club. Domestically, that is! (Remember he was hooked last week against Arsenal for consistently giving the ball away.)

It may be that Mo has finally got to grips with the pace of the Scottish game, having spent most of his time flitting between first team and reserve football.

For the club, a move will allow Tony to bring in someone else to bolster a midfield that is still a bit light in numbers and strength.

The return of Barry Robson will help, but won’t be enough to see us through a long hard season.

Of course, there’s always Willo Flood……
