Shafting Celtic…Scottish Footballs Answer To Cheating!

By Fanzone

What Happened To ‘Sporting Integrity’?

I must admit I thought the SFA/SPL/SFL would do the ‘right thing’ and send the Newco down to the Third Division purely for the sake of sporting integrity.

How wrong was I?

Stewart Regan, Neil Doncaster and David Longmuir couldn’t give a monkey ass about the well being of Scottish Football. All they want to do is blackmail smaller clubs with their ‘thirty pieces of silver’ to keep those over in Govan happy.

Forget the fact that the ‘club formerly known as Rangers’ have currently more investigations than Columbo. Or the fact that the LIQUIDATED club failed to pay their domestic taxes, something UEFA and FIFA are ‘supposed’ to frown upon. None of that matters.

Basically, their years of cheating will come at price, but not to them, to US!

The proposal of bribery, for that’s what it is, contains so many inacurracies Duff & Phelps could have written it.

Just where do they get the idea that £16m would be lost to the game if justice is seen to be done by sending the Newco to the bottom tier?

And where do they get the idea that the Scottish Government would pull the plug on it’s SFL Communities Strategy? Not according to Sports Minister Shona Robison who this morning said they will respect any decision taken.

Which makes you wonder what other lies are hidden in the document?

One thing is perfectly clear though, the whole proposal is all about saving face for the Establishment corpse, at the same time shafting Celtic and the support.

We are expected to pay for the bribes that would allow a Newco to attempt a return to the top flight in a season or so. Or else there will be ‘complete financial meltdown’ as the proposal put it.

Meltdown? You’ll soon see what financial meltdown when your ‘commercial partners’  have their subscriptions cancelled by the thousands for your actions.

Your secret meetings will comeback to haunt you.

Mssrs Doncaster, Regan and Longmuir just remember this, the fans will decide about financial meltdown, not the suits.

If you think rewarding a ‘club’ for non payment of taxes, business and football debts and the systematic cheating of league rules is the way forward for Scottish Football, you’re all very much mistaken.

Celtic hold the financial power in the game here, NOT a club without a league to play in. And now we’ll start to show WE won’t be pushed about.

Let battle commence….

  3. JimboTimbo says:

How will we “start to show WE won’t be pushed about”, fzone? What’s going to happen?

  4. evybhoy says:

hang your heads in shame doncaster ,regan, longmuir do the decent thing and relegate club 12 to div3

  5. mick f says:

CORRUPTION 1. Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.
    2. The action of making someone or something morally depraved or the state of being so.
    3. The actions of those in positions of power in Scottish football.

  6. greenbhoy79 says:

Celtic need to come out and make a statement about this as you say Celtic hold the financial power in Scottish Football.
Perhaps Celtic should pull the plug on the Sky and ESPN deal would cost the club about £1.5m per season but would hurt the SPL /SFA alot harder than it would Celtic.

  7. KevinBarry says:

Almost choked laughter when I seen the £16m part. I’d like to see his calculator – I think he been pressing the ‘cubed’ button too many times…

  8. Fanzone says:

Redvers, a statement from Celtic is long overdue. Agree entirely.

  9. neil says:

Spot on mate, forgive them Lord for they know not whay they have done!
    Something inside so strong.

  10. Fanzone says:

Jimbo Timbo, I think you’ll find over the next week or so plenty initiatives to hurt those who are corrupting our game, including cancelling SKY/ESPN subscriptions.

  11. Thai Tim says:

What I find disgusting is the rhetoric from those who should know better that “rangers” will be “relegated” into the first division. They can’t seem to get it into their thick skulls that if a business is liquidated because they failed to pay their bills, then legally that business can no longer exist. If the SFA/SPL/SFL wish to continue to recognize a new business as if it were the old business then they are getting themselves into very murky water legal-wise. If the new business is considered to be the old rangers in disguise, then that so-called new business will be liable for millions of pounds of unpaid debt. By not recognising this obvious fact, the SFA/SPL/SFL administrators are making themselves look like complete twats. I suggest they go seek a lawyer versed in the legalities of business liquidation. They would easily find out that what they propose is ILLEGAL!

Also, if they continue to use the foolish rhetoric that “Rangers” are relegated (even though they will not exist), then only one team should be relegated, so Dunfermline should stay up in the SPL, not Dundee! But thats a different story.

Rangers have already been found guilty of offences deemed so serious that only match fixing would have been worse, but we all know matches have been fixed for years using bent referees. Its all out in the open now – yes rangers can cheat – yes they can starve other clubs of success by their cheating – robbing clubs of success and money because they illegitimately bought success by signing players they could not afford. Now its clearly out in the open – those that run our game will bend over backwards and change the rules to help this despicable institution carry on with their bigoted bile and cheating. Only in Scotland!

  12. Seanbhoy says:

Totally agree….the cheating and lying is now at such an all time high that they would be as well releasing a statement saying that”we…the SFA are avid Rangers fans we do not care about any other team or indeed the state of Scottish football as long as “ra peepl” have a game to go to at the weekend. if there is anyway to turn this into a finnacial hit to CFC then we will pursue that option vigorously”…this was basically what I took from the said document…actually, although it doesn’t surprise me, I still can’t help but have a sense of shock that they (the SFA) can be so blatent in what they are doing….personally speaking, I will NEVER attend another scottish football stadium apart from CP. I will buy my season ticket and go to home games only…that means no Scottish cup or league cup away….and (correct me if i’m wrong) I will also use money that would be spent on cup home matches at the Celtic superstore as I believe away teams get a cut of tickets for cup games even at CP….I will never directly or indirectly give my money to any other team than Celtic….the only decent honest team in a League structure riddled with corruption and incompetence…..PS I certainly will never even enter the town of Kilmarnock never mind the atrocity that is Rugby Park…courtesy of 1 Michael Johnson. I urge all true fans of Celtic FC to do the same.

  13. dunn says:

this is not sport, this is accomidation for a club through secret meetings, its a disgrace how this can be done, Livingstone & airdrie should sue the sfa & the sfa would not have a leg to stand on , NO team is bigger than scottish football even my beloved CELTIC , we can all make from this thats cheating always pervails in scotland & that if your a certain type of person you can get away with it

  14. harrybhoy says:

I am sure the Celtic board & their lawyers are knee deep in this ‘foul smelling odour’ right now and are waiting for the proper and most effective time to speak up..Up until this point r*****s have been doin a good job of shooting themselves in the foot by acting like spoiled brats(toys oot the pram & all) and now SPL SFL are takin the michael, so methinks A statement will be forthcoming soon enough??
p.s. Now we now why Ogervie is still at the toil?

  15. Tommy Brown says:

The whole corrupt scenario is based upon ensuring that a cheating club isn’t punished “too severely”. The suits in charge also hint darkly about what will happen to Scottish football without the presence of ‘Club Corruption’.

Maybe it’s time for the Celtic Board to stand up and ask, “So can you then explain what will happen to Scottish football when, due solely to sporting integrity being ignored and the rule book being tossed out the window to accommodate one particular non-existent team, Celtic Football Club decides that *WE* no longer wish to participate in this ridiculous farce?”

That statement would certainly let the suits know that they’re not the only ones who have the power to issue threats.

I also wonder if the suits have taken into account what will happen to Scottish football if Celtic (and the fans of other clubs) decide they just don’t want to spend their hard-earned cash to watch games being played against a team they don’t want in what would be an obviously-corrupt league?

  16. rmabhoy says:

why is everyone waiting on a statement form Celtic? if Celtic do make a statement it will be twisted and used against the club and they will be dragged into this pile of shite! I think our club are doing the right thing by waiting to see how things pan out, I also think that they are fully aware of what is going on and are not going to be scape goats for SFA/SPL sky espn or anybody els, I am more than confidant that when the time comes Celtic will act and will not be pushed around!

  17. Fanzone says:

Dunn, agree with your sentiments pal, but Airdrie thanks to Jim Ballantyne are complicit in all this.

  18. Fanzone says:

Rmabhoy, maybe that’s a risk worth taking? The Celtic support no doubt would like to hear ‘something’!

  19. Mike says:

We don’t care if we win, lose or draw,
Darn the hair do we care,
Because we only know that there’s going to be a show,
And the Glasgow Celtic will be there.

I definitely feels like spl/sfl want to cheat their own system just to put a few bucks in their own pockets. I will support the bhoys, even if it means we leave for greener pastures in the lower english leagues. This entire deal stinks of cheating.

  20. tony says:
