Bhoys Must Put Club First
Posted by: | CommentsAiden & Artur Better Off At Celtic Park
The news that the Holy Goalie was sent back to Glasgow after the nightmare he endured on and off the park in Belfast last Saturday, should come as no surprise to anyone.

A Rebel Yell!
His international coach Leo Beenhakker has hardly been supportive of Artur, something that can’t be said of WGS. And to make matters worse, his goalkeeping coach Jan Tomaszewski has blamed Boruc for inciting a ‘religious war’.
That last piece of nonsense makes my blood boil. How would he know what Artur has to go through in Glasgow? Maybe Cloughie was right to call him a ‘clown’ all those years ago.
Anyway, it’s best for Artur to where he feels wanted, so Lennoxtown for the next couple of days will be a welcoming sanctuary for the big Pole.
And joining him shortly will be Aiden McGeady. The flying Irishman has a knee injury that will keep him out of the Republic’s game against Italy in Bari tomorrow night.
Aiden will surely benefit from the rest and be ready to face Hamilton this Saturday. Hopefully the remaining Bhoys on international ‘duty’ will come through unscathed and we can focus on the title run-in starting this week.
This really is a time when the club comes first.
Feeney Gets His Wish..
Posted by: | CommentsJust Like A Mini-Ipox
During the run up to Saturday night’s World Cup qualifier between Nordern Irlind and Poland, Hun loving ’striker’ Warren Feeney called on the ‘fans’ to turn Windsor Park into a mini-Ipox.
Well, the game was marred by violence, stopped for five minutes while the linesman was treated for an injury after he was hit by a coin thrown from the home support, and the chants from the terraces were littered with racist and bigoted obscenities.
Just like a mini-Ipox!
Latvian To The Rescue!
Posted by: | CommentsNo It’s Not Vladimir Romanov..
It’s been quite a season for the Latvians. Who can forget the 5th August 2008, when we had the green and yellow of FC Kaunas unceremoniously dump the mighty Glasgow Rankers out of the Champions League in the qualifying stages?
Or the great job the aforementioned Vlad has done to take the wee Huns of Midlothian to near financial breakdown, all on his own!
And now there is more good news coming from the Baltic state.

Under 19 Champions
Celtic recently acquired a couple of ‘projects’ from Latvia, two 18 year-olds. One a left back, Antons Kurakins and the other a striker by the name of Krisjanis Vallers.
The Bhoys were sneaked in the back door, to escape the Romanov radar that identifies anyone in Latvia with football boots, then ships them off to Swinecastle. (That was a close thing Bhoys!)
The youngsters featured in the Hoops’ under 19’s win against Dundee United at Lennoxtown yesterday, resulting in Vallers scoring the only goal of the game. Although both players impressed.
Head of Youth Chris McCart commented, “The game was an excellent introduction to Scottish Football for Antons and Krisjanis. It will take them time to adjust to the hurly burly. It was a good start for them.”
Who’d have thought another left back called Anton? Well Antons…
Well done Bhoys, and welcome to Paradise!
P.S. Did you spot the deliberate mistake?
Who Will You Support Tonight?
Posted by: | CommentsScotland , Republic of Ireland or Poland?
I know it’s not the same watching football that doesn’t involve the Hoops, and I do appreciate that a lot of people out there actually like watching internationals.
Some even go and support the country of their choice.
But to be honest, it’s not for me.

Will You Support Aiden Tonight?
Anyhow, it does make me wonder who the Faithful will be shouting for when both Scotland and the Republic of Ireland are playing at the same time.
Like tonight. When Scotland play Holland and the Republic of Ireland take on Bulgaria.
Will you be cheering Scott Brown and Gary Caldwell in the dark blue of Scotland or will it be Aiden McGeady and Darren O’Dea in Ireland’s green?
Or what about Artur Boruc and Poland? He’ll probably need our support more than anyone else when he takes to the field in the Belfast Bigotdome.
Could The Huns Be Investigated?
Posted by: | CommentsDunfermline Game Must Be Looked At!
Remember back in 2003 when the Hoops slammed four goals past Kilmarnock on our way to what looked like a title win.
Only to find out that Rankers had beaten Dunfermline 6-1 courtesy of a 93rd minute penalty by Arteta. Even though the game was 1-1 at one point!
And of course the now famous after match interview with Celtic’s Chris Sutton, telling everyone the truth, how the Hoops knew that Dunfermline would lie down at Poundland.
Well, well, well, what do you know, UEFA have announced that they are to investigate match fixing and are scrutinising over 27,000 matches, and that’s only from the last two seasons.
As UEFA general secretary David Taylor put it, “There are a number of cases we’ve been looking at. Within the next couple of days we’ll be issuing charges against one club.”
Of course the Huns game was a bit further back, though still worth investigating, but here is a chilling warning from President Michel Platini, “Buying players and referees is what worries me.”
There will be a lot of squeaky bums in Lodges all over Scotland tonight!
