I’m Sure I Heard Shaun Maloney Mentioned….

Watching Sky Sports News this morning the wee banner at the bottom happened to do a quick preview of tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie at Kilmarnock.
Apparently, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Glenn Loovens have trained and look certain to be included in the squad for the game.
Then, something strange happened on my TV.
The next screen mentioned……Shaun Maloney!
Remember him?
According to Sky, Shaun will resume training next week. Of course they don’t say how long he’ll last before he’s injured again.
That’s anybodys guess.

Tony mentioned him in last nights ‘Huddle’, saying he was STARTING training and would be a (very vague)few weeks away from the 1st team.
He also mantioned that Loovens and Hooiveld could be fit, but reading between the lines, it looks like Loovens has more chance of making Sat, with maybe Hooiveld on the bench.
Mind you by the time he gets back to full fitness it will be the start of the Easter holidays so he will be off for another 2 weeks then!
I heard last week that he broke down in training and he’s out for the rest of the season

Cheap shot the guy i am sure is keen to do his best for the team.
That was put to Tony last night, that the media were reporting Shaun would be out for the rest of the season.
Tony said that was pure “mischief making” on their part and we should see Shuan in a ‘few’ weeks.
