The Camera Never Lies? Oh Aye It Does…

By Fanzone

Every Picture Tells A Story….Not!

Anybody see the picture printed in last night’s Glasgow Evening Times?

It shows what appears to be Scott Brown ‘butting’ that big streak of pish Kyle Lafferty while the cheating b*stard has his arms flailing in innocence.

They say the camera never lies. Want a bet?

What the picture doesn’t show is Lafferty holding Broonie in a headlock seconds before. Nor does it show him pulling Skoosh down and lashing out as the Celtic captain hits the ground.

Why is that, I wonder?

You see,the modern day photographer must take hundreds of ‘stills’ in every game. Frame by frame second by second, so they can capture EVERY motion.

Yet the editor of the Glasgow Evening Times chose to print this one, depicting the innocence of Lafferty, and guilt of Scott Brown.

But it doesn’t stop there, The Sun are just as bad.

Mon The Hoops forum quite rightly pointed out the abuse of a Celtic fans’ human rights when the rag published a photograph of the bhoy holding up an Argentina strip.

Unless I’m mistaken, when was it a crime to hold up, own or wear an Argentina top? Doesn’t Greaves, JD and JJB Sports shops all SELL them?

No, this is another blatant act by the media to discredit the Faithful.

Funny I never saw anything in print praising the fans’ behaviour at the minutes’ silence for Gerry Neef.

This weekend epitomised the undercurrent of bias that does it’s level best to bring blame on Celtic the club, the Celtic support and anyone else associated with us.

As if we need further proof, read what  former ref, now on the Masonic after dinner speaking circuit Stuart Dougal had to say about the game….

One of the biggest grievances Celtic had was why Madjid Bougherra was allowed to stay in the pitch, despite being booked early doors and then continuing to foul throughout the game.

“What Dougie would have felt, as I did, was those subsequent fouls were, if you like, small ones.

Says it all I suppose….

Short Memory Smith!

i can’t recall which website i was on but i did read a bit about celtic supporters not complying with the minute’s silence. I don’t like a minutes silence preferring an applause. When I die I hope the people at my funeral(IF THERE ARE ANY)applaud me on my way to the crematorium. Good on Caeser responding to the shite from the rags..We have been hard done,by scottish refs’to for as long as I can remenber and Davey Hay in his time as manager wanted to go to England because of the bias. I have supported celtic since 1958 and have noticed the strange decisions inflicted.. Not one of our refs are going to the world cup wonder why?????

…and ever it will be the same unless we, the fans and the club confront it full on and very much in public.

fair play billy mc and getting it full coverage.

a smaller point and one picked up elswhere… so whatever happened to the best passer of the ball at the club… marc crosas?

what has he done that is so bad that players that cannot pass or keep possession or stay on the park are picked before crosas…and now he doesnt even appear on the bench! nice one tony, another baffling decision that smacks of you being afraid of the big names in the dressing room.

if marc crosas sees this then please understand that you have a lot of tims that are as baffled with TM as you must be!

The multi-camera angles of SKY tv did not lie on this occasion as well. It clearly showed that mcdonald had an IMPEDED view of the so-called ‘flashpoint’. How on Earth, without consulting his assistant, was he able to determine what went on and what was a viable outcome? I see all the usual ex-referee apologists have trotted out the usual old nonsense – “He had a great game”, “Violent conduct”, “Honest mistakes”, etc.

The way he actually RAN towards the incident and instantly flashed the red with glee was sickening and turned the whole game which was finely poised (albeit with Rangers in the slight ascendancy) up until then.

Not to mention the w*nker himself, Boogie, staying on the park despite constant fouling for 85 mins and Kenny Misser not being booked for deliberate handball like Fortune was.

This is not an excuse for Celtic’s poor season and woeful inconsistency. We would simply like an even playing field in which we could be shite with no questions asked. It’s one thing to hold your hands up and say “We’re not good enough” but what has went on this season outwith Celtic’s (and others) control is beyond belief.

One final point, massive Kudos to big Caesar himself for not mincing his words and telling it as he sees it. Not like that wee fruit McGarvey or Chick ‘Fundamentically Jim’ Nicholas.

At one point laugherty was holding Broonies head with both hands pushing his head down, he then, as you say Fz, put’s his elbow up and his arm round Broonies neck and back forcing his head down more, Broonie was booked for trying to struggle free.
Just to make sure the ref knew what he was supposed to do, laugherty done his usual dirty filthy sneaky snidey cheating bastard trick that we’ve all seen before (he has a record for it) when he goes down like a two bit hooker taking broonies legs with him as he goes.
I’ve watched this a hundred times on CH67, dirty cheating slimmy scumbag, plain and simple!!

  7. Max says:

You’ve got to wonder why bougherra made no similar gestures of innocence when he should have been looking at a red card?
Another man who’d read the script!!

  8. Andybhoy says:

Once again an Old Firm game is decided by the actions/inactions of a referee. Dougie Mcdonald’s shameful display is just another example of what we are up against. Firstly if Brown’s conduct merits a red then surely that big puddin Lafferty should have followed him down the tunnel. As for Bougherra, after seeing a yellow, he continued to commit foul after foul yet still managed to stay on the park. Strangely the ref instead of giving him his much deserved second yellow, warned him not once but twice about his conduct. Fortune was booked for deliberate handball fair enough, yet Miller wasn’t and neither was Whittaker. Yes rangers probably should have been awarded a penalty, but then so should have Celtic. Also another incident which has so far gone unmentioned is when all the players ran towards the ref following the Brown/Lafferty incident, Davie Weir has a sneaky kick at Fortune. Now we can’t blame the ref for not seeing it, however as Glen Loovens’ off the ball challenge on Edu was referred to a video review panel after being spotted in TV replays can we expect the same to happen here. Don’t hold your breath. Sure every club could compile a dossier like Celtic have done of all the decisions that have gone against them, but would there be as many that are so costly, so inconsistent, so blatantly wrong, and others that are just downright baffling. If so then those clubs should be standing with us in front of the SFA demanding answers also, because we are all being cheated here, whether it’s by the failure of referees to meet the required standards to competently officiate matches or it’s something much more sinister, there is clearly a problem that has to be looked at.

    Hail Hail

  9. Max says:

Just had another look at that Andy, and you’re bang on.
As Fortuné runs in he comes shoulder to shoulder with weir and weir has a typical snidey cowardly kick at Marco with the outside of his boot.
    Typical cowardly sneaky hun behaviour!!!
They really must be the most despicable club on the planet!!

  11. Jimmy says:

Having watched celtic losing to rangers on occasion over the last 30 years I could sleep a little easier knowing we gave our best against a decent gers team and hard honest players such as Greig and more recently Gough etc, but it riles me massively when we succumb to the cowardly likes of lafferty. Celtic must get it right pre season as we cant continue to be second best to these clowns.

  12. max says:

STOP PRESS!!! Celtic have just been struck a massive blow!!
Paul Lambert has just knocked Celtic back in an amazing snub!!!
Or so the ‘sports’ writer of the stv would have us believe, I would when possible tell you the name of the writer, but stv have had a change in policy it seems, thet the no longer print the authors name!!(learning a few lessons from the grand master of bullshit, baldy morbidly obese fatboy traynor at the DR me thinks!!)
The fact that the job is neither on offer, is not vacant and has never been offered to Paul is neither here nor there!!!
Infact what Paul had to say is that he had no intention of ever returning to SCOTTISH football, because he thinks it’s SHITE!
Paul abhors the thought of returning to such a shitey wee country, in such a shitey wee league, playing the same shitey wee clubs week in week out!!!
stv seem to have alot to say for itself this weather, and it’s ALWAYS without exeption SHITE! I guess that fits in with what paul had to say about Scottish football.
    Have you been moonlighting fatboy????

  13. max says:

Ned Flanders in the rectum has picked up on this non-story which will not rock the Celtic world, but Ned tries to justify his own brand of bullshit using the opening gambit, “The Norwich City boss has been mentioned as a possible successor to Tony Mowbray by fans concerned about Celtics disasterous form in the SPL this season”.
    Nice touch Ned!!
I can honestly say I have NEVER heard Pauls name being mentioned by ANY Celtic supporter EVER whether they’re “concerned” or not!!
    Fatboy traynors personal ‘lickspittle’!!!
No offence Paul, but is there any Celtic supporters out there who have ever ‘mentioned’ Paul or indeed would want him as manager at Celtic?

Heres one. How can you get a ref from Europe,
    Spain, France,Italy, Germany, Porugal, Holland,
they might be all tims so they can’t ref rankers games,
why don’t we hold a Poll, drop this OLD FIRM TAG,
cause we still get tarnish with them,
    Footnote: Sunday evening Glasgow Airport,
That great war Hero paraded at ipox that afternoon, was sitting with minder while all were singing usual shite

let us all not forget that these are turbulent times for ‘the manky mob’..for the moment desperate times require desperate measures.big cheating baws laugherty will be forgotten in a year or 2 by all concerned as he is a nonentity..they have to win the title this year(by whatever means) and then sell their best ASSets, leaving them with the likes of mculloch, thomson, weir, broadfoot(hopefully)whittaker, big cuntybaws and some young boys and even after all that, they will still remain in debt with a shite team and possibly super ally for a manager..the future is bleak methinks!!!
as for us..we’re lookin good if we can find the net..pressures off bhoys!! lets relax and hand out a couple of tankins between now and seasons end..win the scottish cup, end on high..a few oot an a few in durin the summer, add a dash of tabasco…into the fray with a settled team and bobs yer auntie sadie!!!
    a suppose what I’m tryin to say is;

DONT LET THE BASTARDS GET YE DOWN
