The Celtic Faithful Get Ripped Off by Hamilton Accies!!!!!!
ByNo Ticket Concessions On Offer for The Hoops !!!!!!!!
Once again in this “One Scotland” us Bhoys & Ghirls are being exploited by a fellow SPL club when we visit Hamilton this coming Saturday. In their wisdom Hamilton Accies, another one of the Scottish Media’s “family clubs”, have decided that they wont offer any concession tickets to children or the aged and instead will charge them the full price of £22.
But guess what?…tonight this lovely SPL “family club” play host to another of Scotland’s “family clubs” Kilmarnock in the SPL and whilst the full ticket price is the same at £22 they do also, surprise surprise, offer concession tickets for both children and the aged at £11……
It’s one rule for The Bhoys & Ghirls and another for the rest of the SPL !!!
Maybe the time has now arrived for us The Faithful to kick these parasite clubs where it really hurts and vote with our feet and not purchase any tickets at all. Now I realise bhoycots are not everyone’s cup of tea and that we all love to watch The Hoops live so if we don’t vote with our feet then at least let’s lobby the SPL to make these so called “family clubs” offer the same packages to us that are on offer to all other SPL clubs.
At the very least if, like me, you have purchased tickets for this Saturday then let’s give them a good kick where it hurts by not buying any of their food and drink when in the stadium…
Finally another point that makes this club a disgrace to the status of an SPL team is that when you go along to purchase tickets they only accept CASH !!!!!….Yes that’s right in the year 2010 this SPL club does not accept card payments of any kind…What An Absolute Joke !!!!
Hail Hail …. FRP ….. 26th Jan 2010
They do this simply because they can. They get away with it and keep doing it because no-one else stands up to it.
The SPl would go bananas if they tried this against their rangers.
Well said Phil. Thoughtful and accurate comment. I favour a boycott of their grounds to focus their attention. Scotland – ‘the best small-minded country in the world’
Joe, sorry to ruin another conspiracy theory but they do exactly the same when Rangers visit. You should try checking before you rant otherwise you run risk of appearing thick
Accies do the same when they host Rangers.
The first I heard of the no concessions scam was from a Rangers supporter a couple of weeks ago who enquired about tickets for him and his son but refused to pay the full price for a 6 year old.
It’s not just us on the receiving end this time.
Starryhope
Im with FRP on this one, I have reserved tickets to be picked up on the day of the game but have no intention of doing so as the faithful are being ripped off right left and centre, bhoys and ghirls its time to take a stand.
What to do is phone up and reserve tickets by the bucketload because you cannot pay over the phone as its cash only…..joke not.You will then be told to pick up and pay on the day.
Remember its YOUR money that keeps this club going and they treat you like trash.
Hail Hail
The solution is in Celtic supporters hands..tell them to stick their tickets …they’ll soon learn !
To be fair to the smaller clubs, you’ll probably find the Glasgow clubs don’t offer away fans discounted tickets either.
How come with every single wee incident these days folk get riled?
Club decides not to allow kids cheap tickets and folk want a full-scale bhoycott?
I’ll be there, backing Celtic. Not avoiding it to prove a point to a nonentity club like Hamilton Accies.
Shover yer bhoycotts up yer scheidters…..
Surely a complaint to the Celtic Board and protest to the SPL is in order?
Aye and it’s no wonder the rest of the SPHell go up in arms when the Glasgow clubs talk of leaving…..just a bunch of scavengers.
I have also been told to pick up on the day which i am reluctant to do as i live down in dumfriesshire and will be travelling by train. last thing i want is to travel and get to Hamilton and not give me my two tickets. Does anyone know if i will need to bring season book details of some sort because i have asked for 2 tickets so will i need my season book details only or will i need someone eles as well. Because i am confused that i would need to bring details if i am going to be paying by cash.
I too have been told to come on the day of the game and pick up 2 tickets which i am a bit reluctant to do now as i live in dumfriesshire and will be travelling by train, the last thing i want to do is travel by train then get to hamilton ticket office and they won’t give me the 2 tickets. Does anyone know if i need to bring any season book details and if i do do i just bring my own book or do i need another persons season book for the other applicant.
not sticking up for them but there is a big difference in the cost of policing a kilmarnock game midweek and celtic or rangers game at any time. this is maybe why they have to increase ticket prices
I thought they were trying to ENCOURAGE fans to go along not take the piss!
I just thought I’d point out Kilmarnock are also ripping us off. If anyone bought tickets for the away game at the end of Dec (subsequently postponed) you’ll possibly know that Kilmarnock have said no refund (Chairman’s decision apparently) even if you cannot attend on the new date. Legally you are entitled to a refund (http://www.oft.gov.uk/news/press/2008/142-08) as Spurs were reported to the OFT in similar circumstances just over a year ago. If anyone is wanting a refund, I suggest you contact East Ayrshire trading standards.
I seem to remember murderwell sticking an extra fiver on the ticket for a Celtic game not so long ago, and as far as I remember they DIDN’T do the same against the hunscum.
I have read with interest all the previous comments re this issue. It does seem a bit unfair that the ‘wee clubs’ have to do this sort of thing but it is a matter of finance. Remember too that the old firm charge more for admission to their games than the ‘wee clubs’. The sad thing is that ‘wee clubs’ in Scotland would be much bigger and better off if ‘local people’ turned out to support their ‘local club’. Finances would increase leading to more money to plough back into financing the team.
Perhaps the guy travelling up from Dumfries may want to save a fortune on travel cost and give Queen of the South a bit of support. I am sure they would welcome him in.
Got a bit of a cheek complaining when you lot charged us £22 for a RESTRICTED VIEW and £26 to see the full pitch.
I have to laugh at the above comments regarding parasite clubs and “Rememeber it is your money that keeps this club going” how much money have the accies recieved from Celtic supporters in the last 100 years answer not very much as we have rarley been in the same leauge. However the amount of people who leave Hanilton to support celtic every week costs our club a substantial amount of local revenue, so far from keeping us going I think the reality is you and your other half hold the whole of Scottish footbal back. Look to the 80′s when the national team and clubs regularly did well in Europe, now we have 2 teams dominating where are we? Personally if you want to go to Engalnd I would be quite happy, so go, but I think you will find your not wanted. Incidentaly the pricing policy for this match is the exact same for the home fans so pay up or dont go, simples
SDSTIM : I dont know many fans outwith the OF that would scream if the alleged big two left. I for one would welcome it. As for the money, if you dont want to pay it, dont come.
Originalandthingythingy, the way these Celtic supporters talk you would think that the SPL & SFA actually made money from their club!
I wonder how much MONEY (that would be hard cash originalthingy, not local fish & chip shop takings) Hamilton accies put in the SPL/SFA coffers every year!!
Come to think of it probably as much as your chippy, even after Celtic supporters have left it under such financial difficulties!!lol!
You have to laugh???
You shouldn’t laugh at your own jokes, it makes you look…well…
SIMPLES!!
Stan I think you need to read what is posted before replying as it makes you look………..simples. I wasn’t laughing at my own jokes as i wasn’t even trying to be funny. I was laughing at the previous posts where celtic supporters seem to think that they and their partners in some way pay for the other clubs in scotland existence. Do try to keep up.
P.s congratulations on the win today.
