FT: Hibs 0 Celtic 1

By Fanzone

Ten Man Hoops Take All Three Points

Celtic took all three points from Easter Road in a typical topsy-turvy encounter between the teams.

But the main talking point will be the sending-off of Aiden McGeady for diving.

Somehow the referee, Brother Dougie McDonald who was that biased he even wore the same kit as the Hibs goalie, managed to see Aiden fall when no-one else in the ground did.

He duly sent the player off and gave the advantage to Hibs.

And they almost capitalised immediately when Hibee Wotherspoon hit a screamer from 25 yards that looked a certainty all the way.

Except Artur Boruc had other ideas. The Holy Goalie produced a truly world class save to keep the Bhoys ahead.

Mogga then made a few substitutions, McDonald, Maloney and N’Guemo all making way for Killen, Flood and Caddis respectively.

Celtic did have a couple of great chances, Sammy greedily tried to beat the keeper when Broonie was lying open yards from goal only minutes from time, was the most notable.

However we did prevail and a win in Edinburgh is welcome, anytime.

P.S. Somethings never change,a tosser of a referee, and now that ESPN have replaced Setanta, more hunnish commentary from Booth, Burley and Co.

At least Mogga is in there fighting our corner, we’ll need him!

Not sure if it will do any good, but Iv’e banged an email of to ESPN about twisted Scott Booth and Turncoat Burley. Does ESPN know what twisted BIGOTS they are?

  2. Tom, Romford says:

What McGeady being sent off for diving!! After all the words spoken about Eduardo, surely he will be sacked. Your halo has slipped after 4 days. If Celtic do not take action it will just show the motive for the moral outrage from North of the Border. I hope the SFA launch a full investigation and award the points to Hibs. Platini must be informed.

The thing that pisses me of most is the comparison between Aiden today and the cheating scumbag who was celebrating his act of out and out CHEATING in the arsenal game.
For a start the Arse nal incident was a blatant deception of the ref and the sport, today the tv cameras had to look long and hard to find a tv angle that made it look like Aiden dived, and they did!
Listening to and watching the game today I was astounded to hear Jim Craig reading out an E-Mail from ‘A SUPPORTER’ telling us it was a leveler the Arse nal incident, you know, the ‘what goes around comes around’ BS, when nothing could be further from the truth!
Euduardo (sp) was awarded a penalty, and stayed on the park to score that all important first goal in the second leg, whereas Aiden was sent up the tunnel, for having the audacity to be fouled while running in on goal, leaving us down to 10 men for the last half hour of a hard fought game!
I always remember a quote, I think from Willie Waddel”or some rep from the club at the time, “Celtic sign Protestants, we don’t sign Catholics, it’s just the same!
    Aye right!
How this man Mick McCurry …..em..What ever his name is…Dougie..(big hint there) something or other qualifies as a pro ref is beyond me!
    And so it begins!
By todays performance from the match officials the huns will win this league, bet your mortguage on it!
A great result for the Bhoys under the most difficult circumstances, but if this is the way this pisspoor league is going to be officiated expect the worst bhoys.
PS. And I haven’t seen a hungame yet…God only knows what’s happening there, the mind boggles!
If you’ve got a spare score or so, find out the odds on the scum winning 4IAR, it’s something I could never do, but if this outragious refereeing of SPL games continues at least you’ll get a 50″ LCD telly out of it!!
PS. What a big lassie the linesman was, he flagged for a foul on Aiden and when DOUGIE red carded Aiden he ran away!
I think he might be one of those “big boys that done it and ran away” the huns are always talking about!
I only hope the GMP are sounding out his whereabouts during the huns soon forgoten atempted murderous rioting behaviour in Manchester, and the list of suspects for the hunscumbag who threw a brick through the Villereal team bus window is a name longer!
He seems to fit the M.O. and profile!!

  4. Fanzone says:

Obviously, you haven’t seen the incident. Nor did the ref, really!

  5. Padre Pio says:

Ive seen it on Sky, McGeedy was not touched. Admit it – he did it. So what all players do it

  6. Fanzone says:

McGeady was sent-off, wrongly in my opinion, Eduardo conned the ref, got up scored the penalty and gave two fingers to the game of football. Big difference mate.

  7. Max says:

I watch EVERY domestic game live and saw the incident from every angle possible Fz.
Why should Celtic players be red carded when Hibs players are allowed to lift their hands to the referee whilst getting a yellow card, dismissing him by pushing him away in utter contempt, knocking the card from his hand and sneering at him while he’s being reprimanded, and absolutely no action taken against the player, as the ref meekly picks up the card that was knocked out of his hand to the ground and puts it back in his pocket???
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that in all my years watching football, I cajust imagine the reaction if it was a Celtic player, both from officialdom and the hunscum media!!!
